Client 2.2.5 Issues

Collin Nyberg shared this problem 4 months ago

Guys,

I've been testing the new 2.2.5 client and have come across some bugs in both the Windows x64 and Mac versions.

- Motion Detection image is not generated.

- Changing the camera resolution while client is displaying video will cause the client to crash or the client to not update its camera display resolution. IE. the camera was 720p and was changed to 1080p but the image in the client did not resize to match.

- Cannot save a snapshot with a right click of video window. Right click > Snapshot > Set File Name/Location : An error is returned "An error occurred while saving snapshot image."

Hi Collin,

thank you for your report,

do you experience all of these 3 issues on both Windows x64 and Mac versions?

Maybe?

- Motion Detection Image: both

- Saving Snapshot: both

- Changing resolution: I was only using Windows at the time for that one.

Also I found another you can add to the list that affects both Mac and Windows and that is when you are viewing an event in a event playback window, right clicking and attempting to pause does not work reliably. I would say you can press pause and 1 out of 3 might actually pause.

Actually you can add another issue for Mac at least. When restarting a video in an Event Playback window before the video has reached the end will cause an error that says mplayer crashed. "Recieved mplayer process error: crashed"

Hi Collin,

which camera models do you use? Can you provide access to RTSP stream and web management interface for testing?

Cameras that we have available disconnect RTSP stream on resolution change and new RTSP connection is created with new resolution, so the crash you mentioned is not triggered
